What we are looking for

The Global Sales Data & Analytics Specialist will join our Global team of Retail Excellence covering a key role in the development of advanced analysis, machine learning models and data visualization products. With exposure to the entire retail business, you will work to optimize sales strategies to generate new business opportunities and growth.

Main activities:

  • Works on strategically identified, cutting-edge data science use cases that cover the entire sales journey.
  • Uses advanced analytics methods to extract insights from business data.
  • Performs analysis and builds data-driven models to answer business questions and needs.
  • Create hypotheses and experiments to identify hidden relationships to direct new Sales strategies.
  • Develops visualizations and presentations to influence key stakeholders in implementing key recommendations from data science initiatives.
  • Develops machine learning models with the aim to facilitate Sales processes.
  • Collaborates with other team members across Marketing/CRM, IT, Reporting & Analytics to build shared data products, dashboards, and advanced analysis.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in quantitative fields like Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Computing and Engineering.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in data science projects, preferably covering digital, customer or retail data science with experience in churn analytics, text analytics, customer segmentation, customer lifetime value model development and supporting operations.
  • Proficient with PowerBI, SQL, Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, or Pytorch.
  • Previous exposure to large language models or data governance/quality tools and techniques is considered a plus.
  • Able to build long-lasting relationships with peers in the organization based on trust.
  • Able to manage and coordinate the work of external resources, helping in the development of models and analysis.
  • Open minded to change and always seek to improve your way of working, knowledge and attitude.
  • A self-starter approach with the confidence to look beyond the “here and now” for the “what could be”.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with conflicting time demands and multiple stakeholders
  • Have a strong inclination to data analysis combined with same attention to business impacts.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, mathematic abilities and critical thinking, a clear and open communication, relational and team building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to share information. 
  • Excellent knowledge of Office package, with advanced expertise in Excel (pivot, macro, statistics formulas).
  • Working knowledge of code versioning and testing.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of Dataiku and GCP tools for data science.
  • Fluent in English
