This position is responsible for developing and maintaining competitive and internal pricing data, visualization, and analysis. As part of the Pricing Capabilities and Analytics team, these team members ensure competitive data is cleansed and ready for analysis. Using visualization tools, ensure business has access to pricing KPI reporting. Data analysts combine their passion for data and business to apply statistical programming to develop and deliver insightful pricing lifecycle analyses in collaboration with other pricing and merchandising team members.


 

What You'll be Doing:

  • Developing, cleansing, and maintaining competitive and corporate pricing datasets ensuring data is accurate and reliable for reporting
  • Partnering with IT to create and maintain data models necessary for BI and analytics
  • Developing and maintaining corporate pricing BI reporting models/metrics and scorecards
  • Collaborating with the pricing team and merchandising organization to analyze and maintain critical business processes
  • Communicating pricing trends and analyses to Pricing, Merchandising, Planning and Marketing teams.
  • Educating and influencing data analysis and preparation best practices

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or commensurate retail experience required. Masters preferred.
  • 0 – 2 years experience in retail, analysis, and/or pricing preferred
  • Proficient in a wide range of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments
  • Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and relational database management required
  • Office computer skills required: preference for Microsoft application experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerBi, Power Query, and PowerPivot preferred
  • Proficient in statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, R, Python) required
  • Exceptional ability to extract strategic insights from large data sets
  • Excellent communication skills: listening, verbal and written
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
