Get to Know the Team

The Cyber Security Automation team is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to creating cybersecurity automation solutions. We collaborate with different cybersecurity teams to identify potential areas for automation in their daily operations, establish clear expectations, and enhance their work efficiency, allowing them to concentrate on their specialized skills. Our services include automation development, platform hosting, data analytics, machine learning model creation, and reporting. Get to Know the Role 

You will concentrate on vulnerability assessments, requiring a understanding of vulnerability management. Responsibilities include contributing to assessments and managing metrics. Additionally, you will participate in different automation tasks, involving coding, enhancing existing tools, and experimenting with AI tools to boost work efficiency.

You will report to Security Engineering Manager, Security Automation. This is a paid internship role and is based onsite in Petaling Jaya.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Vulnerability Management: You will developing and participating in the entire reporting lifecycle
• Automation & Reporting: You will develop and employ automated solutions for reporting, streamlining the process, and ensuring accurate reports. You will:
  • Automation: Develop and use automation methods for the cybersecurity teams.
  • Reporting: Produce accurate reports on current vulnerabilities, their status, and remediation, which would benefit both technical and executive audiences.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: You will work with different teams to lead vulnerability resolutions and increase awareness about potential threats, vulnerabilities, and remediation tactics across the organization.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You will need to start the internship in July 2025 with a minimum duration of 3 months.
• Majoring in Software Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficient in at least one of the back-end languages like Python, Golang.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Interested in Cyber Security!
