Role Overview

We seek an experienced and analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. You will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency across our supply chain. Your focus will span areas such as end-to-end supply chain performance, inventory management, demand forecasting, data analysis, and network capacity management. You will translate complex business questions into analytical frameworks, leverage data to uncover insights and opportunities, and effectively communicate findings to influence strategy and execution. Collaborating closely with Operations, Tech, and other cross-functional partners, you will be instrumental in monitoring performance, defining critical metrics, and supporting key SCM initiatives.

Key Responsibility

  • Analyze Data & Identify Opportunities: Conduct deep-dive analyses using SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) to understand business performance, identify key trends, investigate root causes, and uncover actionable opportunities within SCM operations.
  • Develop Reports & Dashboards: Design, build, automate, and maintain insightful reports, metrics, and interactive dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and SQL to track KPIs, visualize performance, and provide self-service analytics for stakeholders.
  • Define Metrics & Monitor Performance: Partner with stakeholders to define, track, and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics related to supply chain efficiency, cost, and service levels. Proactively monitor performance against goals.
  • Structure Analyses & Communicate Findings: Structure complex business problems into clear analytical plans. Synthesize findings from data analysis into compelling insights and recommendations, effectively communicating them to diverse audiences (including leadership) through presentations and written reports.
  • Support Strategic Planning & Process Improvement: Provide quantitative analysis and data-driven support for strategic planning, forecasting processes, and initiatives aimed at improving SCM processes and service excellence. Identify data quality issues and suggest improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related).
  • 3 + years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in writing complex, efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, particularly using libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
  • Hands-on experience creating impactful reports and dashboards using BI visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik Sense).
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with a logical approach to structuring analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative field.
  • Experience working specifically within Supply Chain Management, Logistics, E-commerce, Operations, or Manufacturing domains.
  • Experience with statistical analysis techniques and tools (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis in Python/R).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience working with large-scale data environments (e.g., using Spark SQL).
  • Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills (Excel, Google Sheets).
