What you'll do:

Staff Engineer (GenAI & Agentic Work with Python Expertise)

We’re hiring a Staff Software Engineer to architect and build intelligent, agent-driven systems that deeply integrate with Large Language Models. You will drive the design and implementation of Python-based agentic frameworks, integrating with enterprise-grade LLMs and enabling real-time, modular, and event-driven workflows.

This role is ideal for someone who not only excels at backend system design but is also curious about the evolving frontier of LLM orchestration techniques—from prompt chaining and function calling to retrieval-augmented generation and tool-based agents.

You’ll own the full technical lifecycle—designing workflows, building reusable modules, and orchestrating secure and scalable LLM-powered systems with impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement modular Python agent architectures (e.g., Master-Agent, RouterAgent, ToolRunner, LLMReasoningAgent) with pluggable workflows using YAML or similar.
  • Integrate with internal or external LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, AzureOpenAI, internal LLMs) using secure, signature-authenticated APIs.
  • Build agent systems that use LLM function calling, tool usage, dynamic prompting, context routing, and memory/context retention.
  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) using vector databases like FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Azure Cognitive Search.
  • Construct prompt chains and reasoning flows that adapt based on user input, intermediate output, or tool results.
  • Develop observable, testable systems with full traceability, performance metrics, and structured logging.
  • Lead architecture reviews and ensure code follows SOLID principles, separation of concerns, and FAANG-level code quality.
  • Mentor engineers, guide architecture, and set the standard for excellence in modular AI-driven backend development.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 5+ years in Python designing robust, scalable systems.
  • Strong expertise in LLM integration techniques, including:
    • Prompt engineering (zero-shot, few-shot, CoT)
    • Tool calling & LangChain agents (function, multi-agent)
    • RAG (with embeddings, semantic search, vector DBs)
    • Context management (summarization, windowing, memory)
    • Evaluation techniques (manual & auto eval, metrics tracking)
  • Deep experience with LangChain, OpenAI SDK, or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
  • Proven experience building event-driven, configuration-based systems (e.g., YAML-driven agent chains).
  • Hands-on with async programming, task orchestration, and modular backend architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and modern cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure).
  • Clear understanding of security and scalability in production-grade AI applications.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience building custom agent frameworks beyond LangChain (e.g., ReAct pattern, AutoGen, custom planners).
  • Familiarity with observability stacks: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic.
  • Knowledge of semantic graph-based reasoning, multi-modal input handling, or function routers.
  • Experience with low-latency, high-availability backend systems and distributed task execution.
  • Contributions to OSS projects in LLM/AI tooling or published papers/blogs on agentic system design.
  • Exposure to TypeScript/React for building minimal UIs for agents or configuration panels.

What Success Looks Like:

  • You design and implement production-ready agentic systems that adapt, scale, and evolve.
  • You can dissect and explain the difference between basic prompt chaining and dynamic tool-based planning.
  • You establish best practices around code modularity, testability, and LLM behavior observability.
  • You elevate the team’s understanding of how to harness LLMs with precision—not just call them.
  • Your systems don’t just work—they think, adapt, and accelerate business outcomes.

This role requires not only technical acumen but also the ability to mentor and guide team members, ensuring a collaborative and innovative engineering environment.
