Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS2) – Platform Engineer with expertise in Generative AI and scalable platform architecture. This role involves building and enhancing core platform components, enabling Gen AI integration, and driving innovation across next-gen software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable, modular middle-tier software solutions and integration layers.
Take ownership of architecture, development, and deployment activities across platform services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and support to ensure successful delivery.
Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into functional technical solutions.
Explore and recommend emerging technologies, especially in the Gen AI and platform engineering space.
Contribute to improving development practices and design patterns across the engineering team.
Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.

Technical Skills Required:

7+ years in software development with a focus on backend/platform engineering.
Strong programming skills in Python including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
Hands-on experience with Microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture.
Working knowledge of AWS cloud services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Gen AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
Ability to quickly research and prototype emerging technologies. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing and sustaining critical platform components/services
