What you’ll do for us…

  • Determine and maintain the solution roadmap of enterprise demand planning application and provide requirements (functional and technology) to development teams. 

  • Work closely with Product Management, R&D, Sales and Client teams, to plan release timelines, prioritize features, and design capabilities around a highly iterative functional release schedule.

  • Write functional specifications and Demand Planning use cases in addition to creating prototypes for usability testing, identify root causes to Demand Planning related potential gaps in current product features set and work cross functionally to address and resolve for future releases.

  • Lead teams in designing and developing demand planning solutions. This includes:

    • Create forecast models and generate forecast for predicting sales and revenue in the future (both short term and long term horizons). 

    • Use statistical and machine learning methods that look at multiple drivers to generate this forecast.Workflow and UI design.

    • Managing periodic releases of applications

  • Translate Demand Planning business requirements into forward thinking ideas and substantiates them with proposals, estimates, and requirements specifications.

  • Reach out to key customers and conduct requirements, demonstrations, and iteration walkthroughs with end users.

  • Present at customer-facing events, industry events, and user conferences.

  • Monitor, support and enforce solution best practices in field projects by implementation consultants and architects

What you’ll have…

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a quantitative field required; Master’s Degree is preferred

  • Languages: Python and/or R for Data Science Skills: Extensive practical and functional knowledge experience (18+ years, either as practitioner or software designer) of designing and developing demand planning processes, applications, techniques. Expert knowledge of using internal data, like historical sales, trade promotion, plant/distribution data, paired with external data, like demographics, consumer trends, macro-economic data, to accurately predict demand is needed.

  • Hands on experience with a supply chain demand planning/integrated business planning ERP or decision-making tool is required. This person will bring an excellent understanding of the supply chain planning domain and business applications

  • Deep knowledge of the processes, algorithms and technologies associated with forecasting and demand management. Experience in using machine learning/other techniques apart from traditional time-series methods is very important.

  • Extensive experience (at least 3 years) in scaling and creating performant solutions for forecasting and demand management

  • Experience in managing solutions and teams of developers or consultants

  • Experience working within Cloud, SaaS, AI/ML applications and programming experience in R or Python will be an added advantage.

  • The ability to work independently and thrive in a high energy environment where tasks, priorities, and projects change rapidly

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and influencing skills with proven ability to take initiative.

  • Characteristics: Strong presentation and communications skills
