Senior Python Engineer(India, Bangalore or Hyderabad)

We are hiring a Senior Python Engineer who brings deep expertise in data engineering and building production-ready APIs, along with a strong ability to work autonomously and drive technical excellence. You’ll lead the development of scalable backend systems and data infrastructure that power AI-driven applications across our platform.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-performance teams and embraces modern development practices—especially AI-assisted coding for speed and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs and microservices using Python (FastAPI, Flask, etc.)
  
  
  
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and orchestration frameworks
  
  
  
• Use AI development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or CodeWhisperer to accelerate engineering velocity and code quality (this is a must-have)
  
  
  
• Architect resilient and modular backend systems integrated with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
  
  
• Manage workflows and event-driven architectures using tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Temporal.io
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade systems in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  
  
  
• Ensure high test coverage, observability, and reliability across services
  
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend/API development
  
  
• Strong background in data engineering and workflow orchestration tools
  
  
  
• Proficiency with AI-enhanced development environments like Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent tools
  
  
  
• Solid experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and scalable data solutions
  
  
  
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployment practices
  
  
  
• Ability to take ownership of features from idea to production
  
  
  

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Temporal.io or other distributed workflow engines (very important)
  
  
  
• Background in AI/ML systems, including PyTorch or TensorFlow
  
  
• Familiarity with LangChain, LLMs, and vector search tools (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone)
  
  
  
• Exposure to weak supervision, semantic search, or agentic AI workflows
