Strategic Performance Manager - 12-month FTC

Job Description

We’re seeking a dynamic and data-driven person to join AXA Retail’s Strategy team, contributing to delivery of strategic and tactical advisory work across the Retail business, which will have both high impact and high visibility.

 

You’ll use analytical and data skills, strategic thinking, and strong technical knowledge to drive performance improvement and foster innovation. If you have a strong understanding of claims and are keen to use this knowledge to drive impact across our value chain, we want to speak to you. This is a 12-month FTC.

 

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Analyse raw data and perform in-depth analysis to identify trends, impacts, and opportunities.
  • Develop performance management objectives and key results, presenting complex data.
  • Challenge the status quo and internal processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Operate as a part of, and in some cases lead implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by identifying emerging trends in the retail insurance industry and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Apply claims technical, operational, and subject matter expertise to provide high-level recommendations and actionable strategies.

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Business, Economics, Statistics or Computer Science degree or qualification - essential.
  • Performance analysis experience within a retail insurance business.
  • Strong coding skills, preferably Python or R.
  • Data analysis and visualization skills - essential.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving and project management skills - essential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - essential.
  • Proven ability to foster innovation and drive performance improvement - essential.
  • Background and knowledge of Claims - preferred.

 

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
