Job Summary

  • We are seeking a Machine Learning Expert to join our wireless algorithm team to design and develope AI-driven algorithms for next-generation cellular networks. As part of our Wireless Network Algorithm team, you will take a key role in shaping the future of intelligent, adaptive wireless communication systems, leveraging your expertise in machine learning to enhance the performance and scalability of 5G/6G physical layer technologies. You will lead groundbreaking research in AI-based signal processing algorithms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in wireless transceiver design, including large-scale antenna and distributed antenna systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models to improve performance, efficiency, and scalability of wireless communication systems, particularly in the wireless signal processing and transceiver algorithm design.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure machine learning solutions are integrated effectively into real-world network environments.
  • Stay at the forefront of research in AI, machine learning, and next-generation cellular technologies, and apply new insights to enhance Huawei's wireless algorithms.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior researchers and engineers within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar with a strong research track record in telecoms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Matlab, Python, TensorFlow, C++, or other commonly used tools in machine learning
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate at the intersection of machine learning and/or wireless communications
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Experience

  • Proven hands-on experience in machine-learning-based wireless algorithm design, particularly in 5G/6G physical layer applications
  • Deep knowledge of wireless communication technologies, including channel estimation, equalization, beamforming, and large-scale antenna systems
  • Strong publication record in top-tier journals and conferences related to AI, machine learning, or wireless communications
