In this role, you’ll lead the planning, design, and operation of platforms that are critical to our success. You’ll collaborate with a talented engineering team to build a resilient, high-performance environment, while also leading initiatives to improve the speed, reliability, and quality of our deployment pipelines.

As a DevOps Lead, you’ll also help foster a culture of growth and collaboration—mentoring junior team members, championing best practices, and ensuring that DevOps principles are embedded across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and lead the architecture and infrastructure strategies, focusing on availability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Improve, implement, and maintain our CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
  • Build and enforce SDLC best practices across development and operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting our SDLC, ensuring efficient workflows.
  • Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to promote best practices and maximize the effective use of our tool portfolio.
  • Foster a DevOps culture across Resonate by reducing time to deliver code to production.
  • Mentor and guide junior DevOps team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, responding to infrastructure issues as needed.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • 6-8 years of professional experience in DevOps or a related software/system engineering role.
  • 1+ years of management experience and/or experience mentoring junior team members.
  • 2+ years of Python coding/scripting experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.

  • Experience with Linux system administration and management.
  • Strong background in administering and managing monitoring tools such as Splunk, TIG (Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana), Nagios, or AWS X-Ray.
  • Proficiency with container management using Docker and AWS ECS/Fargate.
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and SBT.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub/GitLab, TeamCity/Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy/CodePipeline, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with streaming data services like Kafka.
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools (Ansible preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with software engineering teams in an Agile environment.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing Java Spring Boot microservices.
  • Familiarity with AWS data engineering and MLOps tools such as EMR and SageMaker.
  • Experience with Step Functions and AWS Lambda development.
  • Background in ETL process development.
  • Experience coordinating with security vendors for regular security scans and penetration testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

The Ideal Candidate Is:

  • A problem solver with a passion for tackling technical challenges.
  • Enthusiastic about new technologies and continuously seeks opportunities for learning.
  • Committed to quality and strives for excellence.
