LSEG is looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join the Corporate Data Cloud Engineering Team.

As a CDC Solution Architect specialised in MDM, you provide a standard common business vocabulary that expresses strategic requirements, outlines high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements, and aligns with Engineering strategy and related business architecture.

The Senior Solution Architect will act as a thought leader, consultant and trusted advisor, establishing and maintaining an ecosystem of contacts within business units, regulatory bodies, even customers, to understand business activities and business drivers, as well as business vision and strategy.

The Senior Solution Architect Advocates Architecture principles and articulates value proposition of architecture to technology and business partner.

Main Responsibilities 

  • As a domain expert in MDM and Data warehousing, the SA will lead these two Strategies and build Architectural models to support LSEG products
  • Run customer workshops/ presentations on Solution workflow/technical design
  • Requirements clarification, specification, and documentation
  • Proof of Concept delivery including development/integration work including Product/Solution discussions.
  • Delivers demos of feeds and capabilities working closely with the development teams
  • Analyses the data quality of the sources and lists the data quality metrics of the source systems.
  • Creates and presents Solution Architecture Design documents via internal Forums for the entire Corporate Data Cloud Platform focusing on technologies like Snowflake, AWS, Python, etc
  • Uses Data mining to uncover patterns, anomalies, and correlations in large data sets.
  • Applies Data management principles and frameworks to efficiently and cost-effectively collect, store, and use data.
  • Uses Python and Java knowledge to design scalable solutions for data analysis and data integrations
  • Uses Structured query language (SQL) to manipulate data and support with designing custom solutions for the Corporate Data Cloud platform and other technologies used for MDM
  • Uses data modelling tools like Erwin, Visio, SQLDBM to visualise data models and ensure integration with the designed Architecture
  • Responsible for building a relationship with partners, collaborators and impacted users
  •  Demonstrates proposed solutions and seeks and addresses feedback.
  • Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to the process as it relates to assigned projects.
  • Flexible in approach, adapting plans and strategies to help handle risks around ambiguity
  •  Strategic problem solver with strong intuition for business and well-versed in current technological trends and business concepts.


Skills & Experience

  • A deep hands-on understanding of infrastructure, hosting, cloud, Linux servers, databases, common API technologies and concepts including Websockets, Restful API’s, FTP and VPN.
  • Proven record of min 5 MDM use cases implemented over time
  • Proven record of min 10 major architectural designs completed for Tier 1 programmes
  • Expert level skill on Informatica IICS or Matillion or AWS Glue or equivalent ETL tool which covers from extracting the source to building the complex mappings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills are key
  • Must have min 4 years of Experience on Snowflake Storage and Database.
  • 7 years of experience on data migration and reporting using ETL (Informatica, Boomi, DataStage, Matillion etc) and Reporting Tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Nice to have knowledge on the Salesforce Data modelling.
  • Industry knowledge and hands-on experience of Docker, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Python, Java
  • Must have min 4 years’ experience in writing complex SQL
  • Experience with providing technical solutions and supporting documentation
  • Understanding of the SDLC and agile delivery methodology

Education and professional skills

  • BE/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or STEM degree (Desirable).
  • TOGAF Certification preferable
  • SnowPro certifications represent a plus
  • Solid English reading/writing capability required.
  • Good communication & articulation skills.
  •  Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking.
  • Agile related certifications represent a plus
