Position: Data Analyst III

Duties: Assumes duties of Project Manager II, Innovation in the absence of the Project Manager II, Innovation by attending meetings; working directly with project teams on specific projects and analyses; performing analyses; providing directional advice/guidance related to defined logistical issues; and determining which issues need to be elevated. Collaborates cross-functionally on assignments with internal and external stakeholders to understand the results of data analyses and research by communicating results and findings. Identifies root causes and develops potential solutions for Innovation initiatives, as assigned by supervisor, by analyzing data, processes and information through multiple techniques (for example, data analysis, data mining, trend analysis, financial analysis); and making recommendations based on data and observations. Collects, organizes, and validates data, processes and information by conducting process observations, mapping, interviews, time studies, data mining and trend analyses; utilizing multiple internal and external sources; and analyzing data using basic statistical techniques. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field plus 1 year of data analytics experience or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience with: Analytical, statistical and ad-hoc reporting experience in large scale enterprise; Working with multiple databases like Oracle, SQL server, etc.; Writing optimized SQL queries, troubleshooting for gap analysis and creating reliable and consistent tables, views for end users; Gathering and cleaning, using programming languages like Python, R/SAS, or SQL to manipulate and analyze data; Creating visualizations using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI or Looker; Using MS office tools, Advanced Excel, VBA, confluence, JIRA and Visio; Working with GitHub environment, API development, testing and deployment with CI/CD pipelines; ETL tools like Tableau prep, Alteryx, Dataiku or any other platform; Working with big data technologies or cloud platforms like GCP and perform admin task by managing user access; Creating data models, performing regression, time series, forecasting and predictive analytics; and Working with cross functional teams, business users and stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommending business solutions.
