Job Description:

What You’ll Do
Responsible for the design and maintenance of the different product strategies in the decision engine. Develops, tests and implements credit and operations strategies in their respective decision engines, using various data sources and operational processing systems.


How You’ll Do It

  • Identifies, problem solves and track defects. Partners with business partners to resolve defects identified during testing. Ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with business partners to complete projects.
  • Works with IT partners to ensure data availability, identify new and ongoing support to ensure availability of test regions.
  • Ensures design and testing are complete and address all requirements. Ensures the Agile tools are used to update and track the progress of the task.
  • Analyzes requirements documentation and works with business partners to ensure requirements are clear and complete. Conducts structured reviews with business partners on potential errors in requirements or omissions.
  • Identifies inconsistencies between existing policies and new strategies. Incorporates new requirements into existing designs and processes.
  • Conducts high level design walk-through sessions; identifies inconsistencies and change designs as necessary.
  • Maintains project documentation to facilitate strategy tracking and test/control analysis. Designs and implements complex portfolio and new strategies accurately and within deadlines.
  • Builds and executes unit test cases.

Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related
  • 2+ years of experience in Software Development, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Financial Services, Security, Digital, Fraud, or related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years Software Development, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Financial Services, Security, Digital, Fraud, or related experience


Physical and Cognitive Requirements

  • Primarily remain in a stationary position.
  • No required movement about the work environment to complete the major responsibilities of the job.
  • Primarily performed indoors in an office setting.
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as but not limited to computer, telephone, printer, and calculator.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time


Bonus Points If You Have

  • Masters degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related
  • 2+ years Software Development, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Financial Services, Security, Digital, Fraud, or related experience
  • Experience with Object Oriented programming (e.g., JAVA, C# or C++)
  • Good understanding of development and project methodologies
  • Experience in querying, data analysis and reporting (e.g. Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL, Python, Perl, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of Decision Management Tools/Rules Engine - Experience with FICO rules Engines is a plus

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $67,000.00 to $113,000.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
