Solutions Consultant - AI Specialist

As a Solution Consultant, you will be expected to provide deep industry, solution or product expertise to sales process for clients within our Canada Legal segment, specifically with our generative AI solutions. In this role, you will be more product focus vs sales orientated and provide demo and product support, often with a technical orientation. You will primarily meet clients through virtual channels, with travel for in-person engagement by exception only.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Solutions Consultant, you will:

  • Provide specialized consulting to solve business challenges faced by customers using Thomson Reuters Generative AI enabled software and content solutions in order to gain new business, win market share and increase customer satisfaction

  • Be responsible for engaging/assisting customers in the pre-sales process. Help identify the right offerings that solve the customer’s pain points and increase customer retention

  • Advise and consult with customers and sales teams to determine product needs with a focus on Generative AI enabled solutions

  • Act as a technical expert in client meetings and prospect demonstrations

  • Feature and release education, use case enablement and onboarding new clients

  • May create and deliver client success plans and reviews with clients to optimize usage and continuously drive value

  • Be an evangelist for the product, via wider client engagement, through webinars, public speaking engagements etc.

  • Scope and design solutions that are current to show what is possible with the platform, host design thinking workshops, process re-engineering and advice, strategic consulting and proof of concepts


About You

You're a fit for the role of Solutions Consultant if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum three years’ experience in solutions consulting or related field, preferably in a B2B environment; experience with government procurement is an asset

  • Strong familiarity with generative AI solutions and applicable use cases in a legal environment

  • Experience working in a complex matrixed organization and demonstrated ability to navigate such organizations effectively

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written – and strong presentation skills, including ability to deliver large group presentations

  • Ability to establish credibility with senior executives

  • Proven analytical skills with advanced attention to detail

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and relationship building abilities

  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation strategies

  • Proven success influencing cross functional teams to accomplish objectives

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously against tight deadlines

  • Advanced PC skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook – with the ability to quickly learn web-based technology

  • Experience with generative AI in business solutions is a huge plus
