EH&S Data Analyst

Description

 The EH&S Data Analyst will support the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) division by managing and analyzing safety data from various platforms to drive performance improvements and risk reduction initiatives. This role will transform raw data into actionable insights to support compliance, training, and proactive risk management across the organization. 

Requirements

 

Data Collection & Management

  • Aggregate data from incident reports, audits, inspections, and employee feedback
     
  • Maintain and update safety databases and dashboards (e.g., HSI, Driveroo, Samsara)
     
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all systems and sources
     

Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze trends in near misses, injuries, root causes, and corrective actions
     
  • Create recurring and ad hoc safety performance reports and dashboards
     
  • Support predictive analytics to identify high-risk areas before incidents occur
     

Process Improvement

  • Identify data-driven opportunities to improve risk and safety procedures
     
  • Partner with field teams and safety leadership on targeted risk reduction strategies
     

Compliance & Auditing

  • Prepare data and documentation for internal and external safety audits
     
  • Maintain 3rd party compliance systems (e.g., ISNetworld, Avetta)
     
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards
     

Training & Communication

  • Assist in submitting training certifications and documentation to clients and subcontractors
     
  • Present insights in a clear, accessible way to stakeholders at all levels
     
  • Support development of safety communications and materials based on analytical findings
     

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Occupational Health & Safety, Statistics, or related field
     
  • Proficiency in data tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and/or SQL
     
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
     
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable way
     

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of OSHA and EH&S regulations or insurance/risk reporting standards
     
  • Master’s degree and/or EH&S-related certifications (ASP, CSP, CRMP, etc.)
