Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

We are currently hiring for a Machine Learning Researcher to join our R&D team in Cambridge. As a Machine Learning Researcher, you will contribute to a diverse array of projects utilizing various tools and technologies, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the company's capabilities to detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats. Day to day you'll be contributing to projects ranging from rapid prototyping of new ideas to open-ended research initiatives. You will collaborate with software engineers to test and deploy research outcomes in production environments. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development of methodologies to defend against unknown cyber-attacks,
  • Driving innovation through creative approaches and traditional project-based development,
  • Engaging in machine learning research and collaborating in software development and DevOps engineering.

 

Candidate Requirements: 

We welcome applications from individuals with the ability to prototype and solve problems who hold an active interest in cybersecurity (as well as a basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and common threats such as malware and phishing scams). Technically you'll ideally have the following:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a machine learning or related technical field, or equivalent experience,
  • Proficiency in Python,
  • Knowledge of common machine learning algorithms and techniques,
  • Familiarity with transformers or other large language models.
  • Basic understanding of AWS and/or Terraform,
  • Experience with Python machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, and scikit-learn,
  • Familiarity with Linux and Git.
