The key responsibility of this department is equity trading and structuring with a focus on market making for single stocks, derivatives and structured retail products in Erste Group's core markets (i.e. Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Croatia and Slovenia). 

Our structured product business (e.g. capital guarantee products, bonus certificates, warrants…) offers a wide range for almost every retail client. However, members of Group Equity Trading and Structuring are operating as principal risk takers and are not client facing staff. The retail and institutional client relationships are maintained by dedicated sales departments in Group Markets. 

Your Tasks

• Market making, positioning and risk taking in daily trading activities within the team in Erste Group’s core markets with a focus on Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland. Romania, Croatia and Slovenia as well as in liquid developed equity markets 
• Cooperation with different sales units for high level service and support of Erste Group clients for all kind of products in the scope of Group Equity Trading & Structuring
• Assist to enhance our automated/electronic trading system 
• Developing of risk mitigating and alpha generating strategies 
• Implement structures for data mining and visualization 
• Coding and scripting of automated daily processes and trading strategies 

Your Background

• Degree in economics, engineering or data science with focus on mathematics, statistics or probability theory are advantageous 
• Advanced knowledge of equity markets, derivatives and structured products 
• Comprehensive understanding of economic correlations and financials
• Experience of coding/scripting (e.g. C/C++, java, R, Python) are of advantage
• Advanced understanding of risk management, strong intuition regarding risk and reward
• Fluent in English

• The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 44.860,-- gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
