Job Description

Role: Hyper Automation, RPA Business Analyst (with AI/ML)

Duration: Long Term

Location: Minneapolis, MN (3 days/Week WFO- Hybrid)

 

Mandatory Skills: Deep understanding of the Hyper Automation capabilities, Process mining, RPA, AI/ML (machine learning)


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, HR, MedTech Business Functions) to identify and
prioritize automation opportunities. Use and enhance the Medtronic framework with guidance from Medtronic
hyperautomation consultants to build a pipeline of use cases, evaluating them through ROI (return on
investment), complexity, and priority matrices.
• Lead process mining and discovery initiatives to analyze and uncover inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and
automation opportunities within business processes. Map out existing processes and identify automation points
with an emphasis on data-driven insights.
• Build and refine the strategic automation roadmap, outlining both short-term and long-term automation
initiatives. Work under the guidance of the Medtronic Hyperautomation consultants with business leaders to
ensure alignment with strategic goals, addressing complex automation challenges using frameworks like Lean,
Six Sigma, and others to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to gain sponsorship for automation initiatives. Develop compelling business
cases, presentations, and materials that convey the value of automation use cases and their alignment with the
business’s strategic objectives.
• Support technical teams in designing automation solutions that meet business requirements. Document
automation requirements, process flows, and use case scenarios, ensuring adherence to the business's
governance and compliance standards.
• Design and implement robust ROI simulations and impact analysis frameworks to assess the feasibility and
business value of each use case. Monitor the outcomes of automation projects, measuring efficiency
improvements and financial benefits post-implementation.
• Build Process Definition Documents (PDDs), and Functional Architecture for automation solutions. Use
exploratory data analysis (EDA) and "What If" analysis to provide insights on potential automation gains and to
validate assumptions.
• Organize and lead workshops to collect automation ideas from business units, ensuring that all ideas are
captured, categorized, and converted into actionable use cases. Facilitate discussions to help stakeholders refine
and prioritize ideas based on business value.
• Proactively build and share information on the latest artificial intelligence (“AI”) and automation capabilities,
demonstrating their potential impact to the business. Provide a clear understanding of how emerging
technologies can be leveraged to drive business improvements.
• Conduct interactive demos for business users, showcasing the potential of AI, Robotic Process Automation
(“RPA”), and other automation technologies. Present complex automation solutions in simple language,
ensuring business teams understand the technology's capabilities and benefits.
• Work closely with IT, RPA developers, solution architects, and data scientists to define and refine automation
projects. Facilitate collaboration between business functions and technical teams to ensure seamless execution
and adoption.
• Anticipate risks associated with automation in regulated environments, ensuring all automation projects adhere
to compliance and regulatory standards, especially in the MedTech industry.
Technical Skills like
• Deep understanding of the hyperautomation capabilities, Process mining, RPA, AI/ML (machine learning)
• Application Software: MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point)
