About the Team

Data and insights are critical to driving decisions, supporting innovation, and maintaining compliance with regulations across our platform of financial products. To propel our product and commercial agenda in a more data-centric way, the Global Product Solutions (GPS) business has established a Chief Data Office that will oversee data strategy and management and we are hiring for multiple roles. This team will partner with various stakeholders to deliver the following:

  • Data Strategy and Management: Standardize and scale the management of product-related data to generate essential insights, support strategic decision-making, and foster innovation.
  • Technology Integration: Research and integrate emerging data technologies and methodologies to improve data capabilities and drive efficiency.
  • Quantitative Insights: Generate management information and insights aligned with GPS priorities across product innovation, distribution, and commercialization.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Data Scientist to join our team in Budapest. This is a unique opportunity to join an evolving new team, responsible for establishing the infrastructure and best practices for delivering insights to our stakeholders. You will partner with adjacent data teams to utilize and expand existing infrastructure. As an experienced hire, you will also play a crucial role in mentoring junior team members and driving the overall data engineering and analytics strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Empower business decision making through quantitative insights
  • Design, evaluate and monitor experiments and new product metrics, understand root causes of changes in metrics
  • Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends that impact business performance.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable pipelines and systems to support data integration and analytics.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest advances in data science and analytics to continuously enhance our methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, statistical modeling, or data engineering.
  • Experience with a wide range of data science and machine learning techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, or Java.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Snowflake, Hadoop, or Spark.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with batch processing and API integration.
  • Experience or eagerness to learn how to maintain and serve data for generative AI applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the financial services industry or a related field.
  • Understanding of investment products and financial markets.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts.

Our hybrid work model
