We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our fast-paced team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the technical direction of our projects, with a focus on design (including security and testing by design), AWS cloud build and operation using best practices and reusable patterns, and endorse new designs and patterns for wider usage.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions using AWS cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for building robust solutions.

As a member of the Finance Service Technology domain, working in the Finance and Analytics Crew you will contribute to the technology products and services we deliver, from architecture, technical design and coding to deployment to operation. The FS Analytics team is focused on providing innovative business analytics service that support all the Business Units in the bank,

The role is a Staff Software Engineer will be to enable these solution using AWS native cloud solution including the AI factory services available on AWS

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

  • Proven experience in solution design build and operate of solutions in AWS native.

  • Have a passion for designing, developing and deploying high quality software solutions and System Design.

  • Are familiar with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on excellent UXs, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure cloud pipelines, logging and monitoring.

  • Have ability to think outside the box and break boundaries to solve complex problems.

  • Have a natural drive to educate, communicate and positively influence various stakeholder groups as well as coaching & mentoring junior engineers.

  • Can perform code quality control through peer programming, code review and automated pipeline release management.
     

Tech skills
 

This is a hands-on design and build role, requiring expert knowledge in AWS Cloud capability tools, languages, and frameworks. You’ll be a good match if you have previous experience in:

  • AWS Cloud experience and certification including Compute – EC2,Lambda; Storage – S3, EBS; Networking – VPC, Route53; Database - RDS incl Aurora, NoSQL incl DynamoDB, Neptune Management; IaC – TerraForm, CloudFormation, AWS CDK

  • Design and implementation of scalable APIs

  • At least one scripting/programming language (i.e., JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Python).

  • CI/CD tools and observability tools such as GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Snyk, Prometheus Grafana, etc. or similar

  • Solid knowledge in more specialised services, for example - Containers - ECS, Fargate, EKS; Machine Learning and AI services – Amazon Textract, Amazon Bedrock, Sagemaker, Amazon Q

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot performance issues

  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
