Volumetric Capture Technician (8-month Contract)

You'll play a critical role in operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art volumetric capture system, ensuring the highest quality data capture for immersive experiences. Responsibilities:

  • Operate the volumetric capture system, including cameras, lighting and calibration.
  • Monitor and adjust capture parameters to ensure optimal performance and data quality is maintained.
  • Collaborate with the System Engineers and other team members to improve workflows.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of capture equipment.
  • Work with the talent to ensure accurate capture of performances.
  • Organize and maintain capture documentation, including shot logs and technical notes.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience, technical diploma or equivalent experience in 3D reconstruction, film, video production, or related field.
  • Experience operating camera systems and lighting equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Experience with motion capture or volumetric capture is a plus.

 

Nice to have

  • Programming skills (Python, C-sharp)
  • 3D reconstruction, lidar or virtual production experience
  • Understanding of computer hardware and network systems.
  • AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of computer vision
  • Experience with Unreal engine or Unity
  • Knowledge of CAD software (Fusion360 or similar)
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing
