We are looking for the best As a Senior Calibration Engineer at 42dot, you will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge calibration technologies to support mass production and deployment of autonomous vehicles. You will be responsible for designing and executing both factory and online calibration procedures, ensuring that all sensor systems operate with the highest precision. You will also play a key role in detecting and correcting mis-calibrations, and in designing robust validation methods to verify calibration quality. Working closely with teams across perception, localization, and robotics, your contributions will directly impact the reliability and safety of autonomous driving systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine factory and online calibration methodologies for a wide range of sensors, including cameras, IMUs, LiDARs, radars, and wheel speed sensors.
Design algorithms and pipelines for detecting sensor mis-calibration and performing re-calibration autonomously.
Define and implement test and validation procedures to ensure calibration quality and consistency at scale.
Automate calibration workflows to meet the demands of mass production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (perception, SLAM, hardware, manufacturing) to ensure end-to-end system accuracy and reliability.
Stay up to date with the latest calibration techniques in robotics and computer vision, and drive innovation within the team.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
