AIML PhD Intern (Summer 2025)

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD intern (preferably in their 2nd or 3rd year) with hands on expertise in Deep Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLM) to join our team. This 10-week internship is an exciting opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to real-world problems and contribute to the development of cutting-edge algorithms and platforms that will revolutionize healthcare and pharma industry commercial applications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our Advanced Analytics team to leverage diverse IQVIA data sources for algorithm development.
• Design and implement deep learning models and AI-driven solutions tailored for healthcare analytics and pharmaceutical industry applications.
• Explore and utilize Generative AI and Large Language Models to enhance data interpretation, prediction, and strategic insights generation.
• Prepare, write, and contribute to scientific papers and publications to share findings and advancements within the academic and professional community.
• Assist in developing platforms that integrate advanced analytics solutions to support commercial insights within the healthcare and pharma sectors.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of developed solutions.
• Prepare and present findings and results to internal stakeholders, illustrating the impact and potential of AI-driven analytics in healthcare.

Requirements:

• PhD candidate in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics or a related field with a focus on deep learning, generative models, and AI agents.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models and their applications.
• Experience in real world data processing, analytics, preferably with healthcare data.
• Knowledge in developing dashboards for data visualization and presentation.
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Python or R are essential.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in the field of AI and machine learning.
• A record of scientific publication is highly desirable.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $31,900.00 - $53,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
