About the role: 

Euromonitor is seeking a skilled and passionate Data Product Manager to join our team and report to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.  We are looking to provide data to fuel our decision making at Euromonitor.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate exemplary product/project management and business analysis skills, combined with a deep passion for data and its transformative potential. This role will enable the business to build cross-comparable data across a myriad of systems that we can trust within a future-proofed ecosystem. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Project Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end data Lakehouse project across functions including Data engineering, architecture, enterprise applications and data owners, ensuring timely delivery, strong progress tracking, and effective coordination across teams.   
  • Documentation: Responsible for preparing all necessary documents, including business cases and kick-off plans, to ensure the project starts and continues smoothly. 
  • Data Prioritisation: Identify and prioritise the most valuable data sources, requirement gathering, aligning with business goals and strategic objectives. 
  • Data Cleansing and Digesting: Develop and implement processes to clean and digest data, ensuring accuracy and reliability. 
  • Governance: Establish and enforce governance frameworks around data ownership, promoting accountability and transparency. 
  • Reporting Requirements: Collaborate with business units to prioritize reporting needs and build requirements for extracting meaningful insights from the data Lakehouse. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product management, preferably within the data or technology sector. 
  • Experience building data platforms/products with architects, engineers and data scientists in a professional environment. 
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and practices. 
  • Exceptional project management skills with a track record of leading complex projects. 
  • Ability to establish and implement governance frameworks effectively. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. 
  • Passion for data and the ability to translate data into actionable insights and opportunities. 
  • Ability to manage individuals and teams outside of direct line management to achieve time-critical goals. 
  • Experience with Euromonitor’s in-house systems preferable (including Salesforce & D365).
