Our department is at the IT heart of ING. Our purpose is to build a truly Global Observability Platform that enables ING services to run seamlessly and puts engineers in control of their observability. We are a diverse team working from all over the world with passion for engineering and great attention to non-functional requirements. Our Platform – Monitoring Data Pipeline (MDPL)
At ING the landscape has become increasingly more complex with more applications added every day. We depend and rely on each other to deliver a reliable service to our customers that demands the very best of us.
Every single day, our engineers typically look at metrics, traces and logs to assess the health of their application, all of which need to be pulled from different sources and interfaces. MDPL provides a solution where they can combine data with just a few clicks, but being connected and dependent on a large chain of applications raises the need for insights beyond their application to run a reliable service.
MDPL Processing
MDPL Processing is responsible for monitoring and observability data services, such as providing an observability data marketplace, enriching monitoring data, and offering observability insights to engineers. You will support the observability engineering team in running AIOps capabilities and increasing observability maturity across ING. In our journey “to know the unknowns,” MDPL Processing is key to turning monitoring data into true observability.

We have an opening for an energetic and proactive Product Manager with a true passion for IT and a positive “Do it-Try it-Fix it” mentality.

You have a good understanding of IT and building platforms. You are a natural team player who forms relationships based on social skills rather than a hierarchical structure. You can easily switch contexts from engineers to stakeholders to management.
