Our Global Animal Health IT department is committed to gaining a competitive edge by aligning IT priorities with business modernization and productivity initiatives. Within this framework, the Global Intelligent Automation & Enterprise Data team (32 FTE) collaborates closely with Animal Health business leaders to deliver technology solutions that enhance agility, focus on data, and ensure the reliability of customer information. Within this department, our Customer Master Data team (6 FTE) is tasked with driving and implementing the future state customer master data strategy. This strategy provides the technological foundation that enables Animal Health to remain agile, data-driven, and generate 360 insights of our customers.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Animal Health IT Intelligent Automation & Enterprise Data lead (based in Boxmeer, NL), you will spearhead our Customer Master Data strategy and oversee the Customer Master Data Management (MDM) program, driving our vision of achieving a comprehensive Customer 360 view. You will identify and address customer master data management needs, to deliver actionable insights that enhance customer engagement and drive informed decision-making. You will implement innovative solutions that elevate the customer onboarding experience and ensure data integrity. This role requires close collaboration with Senior Leaders in our Global Commercial and Global IT organization as well as external vendors.

This role can be based in Boxmeer (NL), Prague (CZ) or Rahway, NJ (US).

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the Customer Master Data Management (MDM) program, crafting and executing a strategic roadmap that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Gain a deep understanding of user personas throughout the customer master data journey. Design and implement an exceptional MDM user experience that harmonizes user needs with technological capabilities.
  • Inspire and guide a dedicated team of professionals and analysts focused on Customer Master Data processes, governance, and data quality, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in commercial, sales, and marketing to identify their Customer Master Data needs. Develop tailored, enterprise scalable MDM solutions that effectively address these requirements.
  • Lead the creation and review of comprehensive requirements for the customer MDM platform, ensuring a user-friendly interface and experience (UI/UX).
  • Drive the development and maintenance of essential product materials, including training documentation, software development lifecycle (SDLC) documentation, and product guides, to uphold data integrity across all customer master solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison for customer master data within our organization’s Animal Health division. Manage stakeholder relationships by setting priorities, developing data governance frameworks, and enhancing analytics understanding. Ensure alignment of MDM, data governance, and analytics initiatives with business objectives.
  • Research and assess customer MDM, data governance, and analytics tools and technologies. Provide strategic recommendations for new capabilities that support the company's goals and drive improved business outcomes.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in data management and business analysis, specializing in Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance, with a proven track record of successfully leading data-driven projects that enhance customer engagement and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Passionate and experienced leader with a proven ability to effectively influence executives in a global context, driving strategic initiatives and fostering collaboration across diverse and international teams.
  • Proven experience managing (cross-functional) teams and driving organizational change, with strong project management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable insights and solutions, coupled with proven problem-solving capabilities to identify issues and implement effective strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Residing within a reasonable distance of Boxmeer (NL), Prague (CZ), or Rahway, NJ (US) is required, as this role requires on-site presence three days a week.
