This role is a 6 month co-op to join AR full time (40 hours/week) from May/June to December 2025. Amazon Robotics Internship opportunities will be based in the Greater Boston Area, in our state-of-the-art facilities in Westborough, MA. This campus provide a unique opportunity for interns to have direct access to robotics testing labs and manufacturing facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying and developing software solutions to current business problems
- Creating milestones and deliverables and tracking status with team
- Participating in daily scrums and reviews with development teams
- Developing design documentation and leading reviews with other interns and engineers
- Writing code and unit tests and integrating code with other software and hardware components
- Utilizing Amazon Robotics and Amazon engineering tools, processes and technologies
- Delivering a final presentation to managers and engineers on the successes and challenges of their internship and the business value they have contributed
Basic Qualifications
- Are enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in the United States
- Are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or majors relating to these fields
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java or Perl
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization
