Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong technical skills and solid working experience to work in new challenging projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement solutions required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Azure technologies
  • Design, develop and maintain new and existing data and ETL pipelines
  • Perform tasks in an efficient & timely manner
  • Create optimal data pipeline architecture and systems
  • Continually advance technical knowledge and skills
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (from a Greek university or abroad).
  • At least three (3) years of experience in application development with relational databases and Apache Spark systems/installations, and in managing big data.
  • Experience with the Python programming language and in developing and maintaining enterprise software with modern code repositories.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix and Unix shell.
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning and the development and management of related models and processes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of data integration systems (Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow).
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of Docker.
  • Knowledge of Azure.
  • Knowledge of a CI/CD tool (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Verified successful completion of an online course related to Python, Data Management, or Machine Learning.
