About the Department
Data Management Office (DMO)
DMO believes that data is key to responsible innovation, growth, and competitive advantage in the banking industry. Our mission is to leverage our data assets to create value for our customers, stakeholders and employees. We achieve this by defining, and executing to, enterprise data strategies and transformation, delivering valuable and trusted data to the organisation via the most efficient and responsible manner, ensuring robust data governance via strong enforcement, literacy, and management of emerging data risks and data regulatory compliance, as well as bringing Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) solutions to our business stakeholders to drive monetisation of our data assets.
Job Responsibilities
- Master of AI and data science algorithms and techniques.
- Work with stakeholders to provide deep expertise and advisory on advanced data analytics needs.
- Focuses on developing AIDA models to assist business units to draw insights and make predictions from data.
- Primarily responsible for applying the skills and knowledge gained about data analysis, analytics, data science to ensure the successful delivery of client engagements and initiatives.
- Participate in requirements gathering process with business units to understand the gaps and opportunities.
- Participate in and apply best practices in software development / MLOps for the as part of the software development lifecycle (inception, development, staging, deployment, monitoring, retirement).
- Produce high quality deliverables/document, with-ready-to-use content.
- Conduct big data sourcing, wrangling, exploration and PoC rapid prototyping to discover trends and patterns.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor / Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, with ability to reason quantitatively from first principles
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Strong working knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
- Experience in data analysis / numerical computing / classical ML tools like Pandas, NumPy/SciPy, Scikit-Learn, or XGBoost
- Able to develop SQL queries and working with data models. Possess the ability to query and use large, robust data sets across traditional Data Warehouse and Hadoop platforms
- Experience in production software engineering routines such as test-driven development, code versioning with Git, conducting code reviews, and CI/CD
- Ability to communicate analytic findings clearly and convincingly to business
- Achieved consistently convincing success in framing quantitatively rigorous and data driven approaches to solve highly complex business problems
- Self motivated team player, able to ideate innovative solutions and work independently
- Experience with data visualization packages and/or tools a plus
