Securitized Product Researcher

Your Team Responsibilities

MSCI is looking for an exceptional individual to join our Securitized Products Research team. The team is responsible for researching and developing models for various securitized products, including Agency MBS, CMOs, Non-Agency RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CLO and Securitized Products factors. Clients include hedge funds, asset managers, asset owners and banks, with billions of dollars under management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team to produce high quality research and models for MBS, ABS, CLO, CMBS and Securitized Products factors.
  • Research on cutting-edge methodologies combining financial and economic theory with empirical analysis and modern data science.
  • Collaborate with research and engineering teams to develop new products to serve the investment community.
  • Collaborate with the client coverage teams in client services.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 5+ years of experience in securitized products modeling or analytics; Experience with machine learning is a plus.
  • Domain knowledge on RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CLO modeling and risk analysis.
  • Strong Python skill; Proficient in SQL; C++ skill is preferred.
  • Highly self-motivated individual with critical thinking, curiosity, and excellent communication skills.
  • An advanced degree in financial engineering, economics, mathematics, science, engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
