Quality Assurance Engineer

The Position

Metalenz is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to bring our system testing to the next level. In this role, you’ll be the gatekeeper for quality— building robust testing processes that drive product excellence and reliability.

What you’ll do  

• Be the quality expert for the Polar ID system. 

• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the product meets or exceeds the customers’ needs.  

• Develop and implement protocols for system testing of the Polar ID product. 

• Perform regular verification testing to validate system releases. 

• Collaborate with software, optics, hardware, machine learning, and product teams to understand the system and how to best maintain quality. 

What you’ll need  

• 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience 

• 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience on an electronic consumer device 

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant academic field.  

• Experience in manual testing  

Preferred Qualifications  

• Experience in biometric verification  

• Experience in Python code development for verification and tooling 

• Experience in automation testing 

• Comfortable with modern CI/CD pipelines and remote, log-based debugging  

• Have worked on embedded software products that have shipped to tens of thousands of satisfied customers
